We are seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to provide maternity leave coverage for a key accounting function within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This contract opportunity requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in inventory accounting and familiarity with large ERP systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, the ability to manage complex journal entries, and a background in relevant industries such as transportation, warehousing, or shipping.

Work Schedule:

• Hybrid Work Arrangement

  • In-office: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

  • Remote: Wednesday and Friday

• Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

• Candidates must be available to work during the outlined hours and adhere to the hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inventory accounting functions including reconciliation and analysis

• Prepare and process complex journal entries

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory balances and financial records

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory-related processes and reporting

• Utilize ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP to manage transactions and data

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in inventory accounting or related field

• Strong understanding of inventory processes and cost accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
